A traditional family restaurant is at the entrance of the village. Open all year. During the winter you can enjoy your food in a warm setting near the fireplace. You can even enjoy a hot mountain tea from Chelmos. In the summer at the marvelous veranda of the restaurant with a unique view to the Corinthian Gulf you will find dishes like grilled meat steaks, chops, sausages, rotisserie chicken, souvlaki kalamaki or wrapped in pita, very nice cod fish with garlic dip and if you're lucky, fresh green beans with tomato sauce and delicious cheese rolls, cooked by Mrs Voula. Fine wine from local producers is served. There is a parking area at the entrance of the village, in a walking distance from the tavern.
"PLATANOS" (tel. 26960-61600)
Restaurant - Pizzeria – Cafeteria, located in the village square. Open all year. In the winter you can savor delicious pizzas and spaghettis, cooked by Mrs. Sophia, or drink a hot tea or lemon verbena, or even enjoy tsipouro with a variety of snacks. In the summer, under the perennial plane tree, with a magnificent view to the Corinthian Gulf and the cool breeze that comes down from the mountain, you can try the grilled chops, souvlaki, sausages, varieties of meat with ouzo, cold beer or fine wine and of course pizzas and spaghettis. After your afternoon walk you can stop by and enjoy the view and the summer breeze accompanied with a Greek cup of coffee, a soft drink or an ice cream. The tavern of Mrs. Tryphonas Leontopoulos is located in "Ano Vrisses". In the winter it opens on Fridays and Saturdays, while in the summer it opens daily. In the hall, details such as the stone, the carefully chosen decor and the fireplace, will draw your attention from the first moment. In the summer, at the beautiful veranda-courtyard, beneath the large pergola and the colorful curtain of countless geraniums on the balcony of the restaurant, the 'trademark' of the tavern, you can taste delicious grilled kontosouvli, kokoretsi, souvlaki, chicken ribs, sausages, steaks, etc. Mrs Niki is always there to make sure that all is delisiously roasted. An excellent selection would be the homemade bread “kapsalismeno”, baked in a traditional wooden oven and sprayed with local virgin oil. The wine is locally produced in the vineyards of Aegialia. Last but not least you can taste the traditional Greek homemade spoon sweet offered by the hosts. There is a parking area at the entrance of the village, in a walking distance from the tavern.
“VRADINO SINIALO” (tel. 26960-61270, mob. 6977-883684)
As its name denotes (the night signal), in Platanos the only bar that opens after midnight is the “Night Signal”. It is located at the entrance of the village, opposite to the parking area. It is open from July till August, every night. A nice meeting place to hang out with friends or more than that… and have a drink under the carefully selected music by Dinos, both Greek and foreign, in a cozy and friendly environment hidden in a green yard.
In Tsivlos
“PETRINO” (tel. 26960-34190)
The restaurant is open since 1998. Here, you can taste both homemade traditional recipes and grill. The yeast bread is prepared in the wooden oven and served fresh and warm to the customer. The wine is locally produced in the vineyards of the owner. As desert are offered spoon sweets and other local sweets.
During the winter you can enjoy your dinner by the fireplace, while in the summer the veranda offers unlimited view to the forest.
You can also spend the night in one of the four rooms of the pension, where you can enjoy great hospitality in a relaxing environment, ideal for those who want to take some time off.

It is located next to the lake of Tsivlos, where you can taste food or have a cup of coffee while enjoying a marvelous view to the lake.
